custInfo

iService includes an extensive set of contact management features, including the ability to create an unlimited number of custom contact properties. The custinfo API is used to retrieve and update information about iService contacts (contact details and subscriptions), and to create new interactions with the specified contact. These endpoints are used primarily in the Customer Info pages. Every iService tenant has a set of predefined contact properties created within a hidden global segment. These include details like name, phone number, address, etc.  Your tenant might have other contact properties defined within your segments.

 

iService includes a built-in mass mailing feature that allows contacts to subscribe to mailing lists and campaigns. It also includes a knowledge base that allows contacts to subscribe to knowledge base articles to receive updates when new content is update.

 

 

Endpoints

The endpoints within the custinfo form include the following:

 

 

Find or Create a Contact

search – Enables contact search.

newcontact – Creates a new contact.

 

 

Contact Details Tab

name -  Provides a contact's name.

details - Obtains all the details of a contact, including their contact properties and subscriptions.

setdetails - Save changes to contact's details.

 

 

Subscriptions Tab

subscriptions – Obtains a contact's subscriptions

setsubscriptions -  Saves a contact's details and subscriptions.

 

 

View Mode Buttons

createemail - Creates a new Agent Email.

createticket - Creates a new Agent Tcket.

createnote - Creates a new Public or Private Note.

forwardemail -  Used to forward a copy of an Interaction to an email address.
